Prestige Medavakkam marks the Prestige Group's latest and largest residential push into South Chennai. Prestige Estates Projects Limited has announced the acquisition of a 25-acre land parcel in Medavakkam, Chennai, with the acquisition disclosed through an official press release dated December 22, 2025, filed with the National Stock Exchange and BSE. The site offers a development potential of approximately 5 million square feet, with an estimated top-line revenue potential exceeding ₹5,000 crore.
Commenting on the acquisition, Chairman and Managing Director Irfan Razack said the land acquisition in Medavakkam aligns with the Group's long-term view on Chennai, and that the location is well suited to address the city's sustained mid-segment housing demand, supported by improving infrastructure and proximity to key employment hubs. This is a self-sufficient gated community conceived for families and professionals wanting a large, green, low-density address rather than a standalone tower.
The project is currently in its pre-launch stage. Expected launch is in 2026-27, with possession by December 2028. Formal configuration, tower count, unit mix and official pricing are yet to be released by Prestige, and homebuyers should treat any numbers circulating online as indicative until the developer's official launch and RERA registration.
Backed by nearly four decades of delivery experience, Prestige Group has a legacy of almost four decades, having delivered 310 projects spanning 202 million square feet, with a current pipeline of 130 projects across 199 million square feet.
